Please take a few moments to view and fill out the Baby Dedication Guideline Form. At Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, we do not baptize infants; we dedicate them. Baby Dedication is a simple ceremony where the parents bring the baby/child before the congregation. The parent(s) dedicate themselves to raise the child in such a way that when he or she becomes older, they will decide for themselves to follow Christ. The minister will encourage the parent(s) to raise the child in a godly home. The minister leads the family and congregation in a prayer of dedication.
We are excited and pleased that you desire to dedicate your baby into the service of the Lord. Babies are dedicated on the 4th Sunday during the 12 pm Worship Service in the main sanctuary. So that we can schedule your baby for dedication, please fill out the following information and return it to the Church office, attention to Wendy Irby, who will also assist you with any additional information you may need for your baby’s dedication. We will also need the actual Birth Certificate before the dedication is scheduled.
For parents that plan to have your baby dedicated it is necessary for you to attend our Baby Dedication Class prior to the dedication ceremony. Our goal in this 1-hour class is to strengthen parents and families. Classes are offered on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 1 PM.
